This is an excellent product and is along the lines of a luxury product. It's perfect for sensitive skin as well as normal and oily skin. The product is only slightly scented, with a nice clean scent. It's just "harsh" enough to really clean and purify your skin. It has the awesome ability to erase away the dead top layer of skin cells, the ones that are hit by environmental stressors like air pollution, sun rays and results from bad food diet.
I use this skin cleaner 3 times a week and my skin is fair and I have green eyes and blonde hair. I wouldn't use this product every day because I think it may be a little too much, so using it 3 times a week allows me to see a real difference while giving my skin a break in between use. I first purchased the very small tube to try it which was slightly less than an ounce, but lasted me for more than a month, and was approximately $8. I loved it so much that I went on to purchase the large tube, which is about 7 to 8 ounces and was $32. I just can't say enough great things about this European product (I think it was developed in France).
The product leaves my skin feeling so clean and not dried out at all. I wet my face with warm water and use a dime sized amount and gently rub in a circular motion, then I rinse it off with warm water. After use, I pat dry with a soft towel and when my skin is completely dry, I add a heavy moisturizer because I use it just before bed. I always wake up with clean feeling skin with a nice glow to it. I'll definitely purchase this again and I'd recommend it to friends and others looking for a gentle skin wash at a great price.

Follow the direction=No raw eyelids 🙄
Like many others, I first received it in a Birchbox and loved it. The difference between before and after was obvious for me. The packaging as of 2019 appears to be different then the ones advertised. I purchased it through Amazon because it was four dollars less then Birchbox. Mines was fulfilled by Vasanti Cosmetics through Amazon Prime and the product consistency was exactly the same as the sample I received through Birchbox. I use this strictly as an exfoliator, in addition to a balm or oil based cleanser or sometimes a foam cleanser. I personally don’t think this product would be sufficient as a cleanser by itself, especially if you also wear makeup, and even without. Its marketed as an ‘exfoliator’ for a reason. You really don’t need to scrub that hard! The same amount of pressure you use to apply your skin lotion is sufficient pressure for this exfoliator! The photo of the reviewer with raw skin on her orbital region and around her mouth: what the heck was she doing? She doesn’t really go into detail about what she did exactly but it says right there on the box and tube to AVOID eye area. The skin around your eyes is one of the most delicate and I can only imagine the kind of pain caused by getting some microcrystals into your eyes! You shouldn’t be using any kind of exfoliator or chemical peel on your eyes. And the lip and skin around the mouth can be sensitive that the simple act of licking your lips more then usual can cause dermatitis. I can imagine if you were scrubbing that area like you were sanding wood- yes- you’re probably gonna have raw skin! If you want to sample it first before dropping $30, go to Birchbox and buy a deluxe sample. I believe they have it included in a cleanser collection at the moment for eighteen dollars.
